Mock Court Charge Sheet

Justice Awaits at the Old Woodstock Mock Mayor Elections

Do you have a family member who drives you absolutely mad? A friend with annoying habits? A neighbor whose dog keeps digging up your prized roses? Well, it's time for justice to be served – Mock Court style!

How Mock Court Works

Mock Court is one of the most beloved traditions of the Old Woodstock Mock Mayor Elections, where community members can bring lighthearted charges against anyone (yes, even pets!) for their most irritating crimes. From excessive cheerfulness to chronic tea-bag squeezing, no offense is too small for our mock tribunal.

Submit Your Charges

Use the charge sheet below to accuse someone of their heinous crimes. Our Mock Court will convene during the Mock Mayor Elections, where:

  • Mock Lawyers will cross-examine the accused with theatrical flair

  • The Community serves as judge and jury

  • Creative Punishments are handed down (all harmless and hilarious)

  • Justice is served with a generous side of laughter

What You Need to Include

The Accused: Who has committed this terrible crime? (Names of people, pets, or even inanimate objects welcome)

The Crime: What dastardly deed have they done? Be as creative and specific as possible. Previous charges have included "excessive handsomeness for a pub landlord," "illegal distribution of infectious grooves," and "conspiracy to overthrow human pedestrians" (those were the ducks).

The Evidence: What proof do you have? Witnesses, photographic evidence, or sworn testimony from traumatized houseplants all accepted.

Your Details: We need to know who's bringing these charges so we can call you as the key witness during the trial.

Past Mock Court Highlights

Our Mock Court has seen it all:

  • An MP charged with insufficient election stunts

  • A pub landlord accused of being too cheerful

  • A dog cleared of squirrel-chasing charges

  • The town ducks prosecuted for traffic disruption

  • A husband convicted of flatulence (brought by his own daughter!)

What Happens Next?

Once you submit your charge sheet:

  1. We'll review your case and prepare it for Mock Court

  2. Formal summons may be issued to the accused (complete with mock-legal language)

  3. On Mock Court day, the accused will be called before our tribunal

  4. The community will witness the hilarious proceedings

  5. Punishment will be decided by popular vote

Important Legal Notice

All proceedings are conducted in the spirit of fun and community entertainment. No actual legal consequences apply, though the court of public opinion can be quite stern about repeat tea-bag offenders.
